Need to know the things that will make you happier than MONEY??
- Money is not everything!
The researchers at Oxford Economics and the National Centre for Social Research in England, conducted a survey where they asked 8,250 participants to fill a questionnaire to determine what ‘living well’ meant to them.
The survey had 60 questions that covered several aspects including finances, job security, daily hours of sleep, relationship with close friends and family.
The results were pretty insightful. Sleep and sex were the top indicators that contributed to one’s happiness.
After sex and sleep came job security, health of near and dear ones, and chatting with neighbours.
- ‘Income’ does not matter much!
Surprisingly, ‘income’ was not a big influencer in a person’s perception of living well. In fact, a whopping 50 per cent increase in disposable income led to only a minute increase in a participant’s “living well” score.
Going by the results of this study, we need to spend some quality time in our bed for multiple activities, every single day, to lead a happy life!
